EDUCATION

Master of Architecture (Professional)

University of Auckland 2020 - 2023

Bachelor of Architectural Studies

Victoria University of Wellington 2017 - 2019

I completed a fourth year of full-time coursework followed by a masters thesis from March 2022 to Feburary 2023. I centered my fourth year of study around Māori and Pacific architectural design. I achieved First in Course awards for Advanced Design 1 and Pacific Architecture.I received a prestigious scholarship on the topic of Ngāti Awa Marae Resilience against Hazards. I conducted research for QuakeCoRE on this subject, undertaking a thorough survey of the hazardscape and socialscape of the iwi Ngāti Awa. This organically lead to my thesis: Recompose, Reconfigure the Resilient Marae: Kei te Tautiaki o ngā Tāngata.

I completed three years of study at full time. The courses involved design, presentation communication, construction materials & methods, design theory, history of architecture, and physics.
Alongside required courses I completed two elective courses, MAOR101 and MAOR102, to meet and exceed point requirements. These courses included introduction to and elementary te reo Māori.
