Introduction

Investigate the affect that customs and environment have on the architecture of indigenous people. Through in-depth analysis of the customary architecture of the Abelam people in Papua New Guinea, this research explores how designed environments across the Pacific may have been influenced by their climate, resources, and societal/cultural practices.
