City Library
Brief
Design a City Library within Te Ngakau Wellington’s Civic Center including offices, meeting rooms, lecture theatres, social spaces, study spaces, computer labs and archives. Beginning with research into wider context and structural load requirements of the area, the assignment follows the development of a concept reaching a resolution of architectural form, architectural planning and structural layout.
Personal Focus
Design a proud civic building while meeting functional requirements of a City Library. Orientate structure and layout design around Maori principles of history, stories and taonga.
